Allo Lakes

Big & Little Allo Lakes

The trail along the Zin Don River leads adventurers to the serene Little Allo Lake. This path follows the river’s right bank, weaving through dense thickets of birch, willow, and sea buckthorn. Navigating the trail can be challenging due to the unstable terrain of landslides and rockfalls, making it less distinct in some areas.

The Little Allo Lake is renowned for its ever-changing colors, shifting between vibrant blue and green hues depending on the time of day and the light. Despite these variations, the lake’s waters remain impeccably clear, offering a window into its pristine environment. Towering rock slides from the surrounding mountains cascade down the slopes, gradually disintegrating into rubble. This natural debris has formed a barrier across the river’s path, creating space for another lake to emerge – the majestic Big Allo Lake.

The river resumes its journey only after a five-kilometer detour around the new lake, illustrating the dramatic and dynamic nature of this landscape. This area, marked by its rugged beauty and crystal-clear waters, offers a unique glimpse into the natural processes that shape such enchanting environments.
