Nestled at an elevation of 3,000 meters beneath the towering Mirali Peak, the Dyushakha Lakes form a stunning duo linked by a narrow isthmus. This small but scenic connection between the two lakes results in only a slight difference in their water levels. The tranquil surfaces of the lakes mirror the nearby glaciers, creating a breathtaking panorama that enhances their allure.
Surrounded by lush juniper forests, the Dyushakha Lakes are easily accessible via a well-maintained trail, making them a popular destination for nature enthusiasts. From this vantage point, visitors can embark on a scenic excursion to the Maria Glacier. However, caution is advised when approaching the glacier’s edge. The towering ice formations are prone to sudden collapses, posing a risk of falling ice and avalanches. For safety reasons, it is best to admire the glacier from a safe distance.
