From Baku to the Ancient Cities

Your captivating 3-day adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Baku. As we embark on a scenic journey toward Qabala, we will make our first stop in Shamakhi, a city steeped in history. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the stunning Juma Mosque, renowned for its unique architectural style. Next, we’ll explore the Yeddi Gumbez Mausoleum, a significant historical site, and the Shirvan Shah’s family graveyard, which offers insights into Azerbaijan’s noble lineage.

Continuing our journey, we will drive through the breathtaking Girdimanchay River Canyon, arriving in Lahij, an ancient village dating back to the 5th century. Famous for its cobblestone streets and artisanal crafts, Lahij boasts a rich heritage with impressive medieval water supply and sewage systems. You’ll have the chance to visit workshops where local artisans create beautiful jewelry, copperware, pottery, and traditional daggers. On the final day of your tour, we will depart from Sheki and make our way to Ganja, Azerbaijan’s second-largest city. Our first stop will be the Ancient Fortress Wall, an impressive remnant of the city’s storied past, followed by the stunning Shakh Abbas Mosque, known for its striking twin minarets.

Next, we will visit the Ganja Caravanserai, a historic resting place for travelers, and the unique house made entirely of bottles, showcasing local creativity. You’ll also explore the mausoleum of Javad Khan, the last khan of Ganja, and the Chokek Hamam, a medieval bathhouse that offers a glimpse into traditional Azerbaijani life.

Finally, we will stroll through the Central Square and Sardar Baghi Park, and visit the Alexander Nevski Christian Orthodox Church and the Agvan Kilsasi Christian Temple. After a day filled with exploration and discovery, we will drive back to Baku, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, leaving you with
