Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Baku

Upon your arrival in Baku, our friendly driver will be there to greet you and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. After checking in at noon, prepare for an exciting sightseeing tour of the capital city. Your first stop will be Martyrs Lane, known locally as ‘Shehidler Khiyabany,’ where you can enjoy stunning views of Baku’s coastline while reflecting on the city’s history. Next, you will explore Icheri Sheher, the old town, visiting notable landmarks such as the Shirvan Shahs’ Palace, the ancient Caravanserai, and the iconic Maiden Tower. Don’t miss the vibrant main market square, filled with art studios and souvenir stalls. Following this, experience the modern side of Baku as you stroll down Nizami Street and the lively Fountain Square. To cap off your day, visit the architectural marvel of the Heydar Aliyev Center.

Day 2Baku – Absheron Peninsula – Gobustan – Baku

Today, we will explore the stunning landscapes of the Greater Baku and Absheron Peninsula. Your adventure begins at Yanardag Mountain, known for its eternal flames fueled by natural gas. Next, visit Ateshgah, the ancient temple of fire-worshippers located in Surakhany, where Zoroastrians from India make pilgrimages to honor the sacred fire. After a delightful lunch, you will head to Gobustan National Park, home to remarkable petroglyphs dating back to 10,000 BC, which you will explore at the Petroglyphs Museum. If weather permits, we will venture to the fascinating mud volcanoes, a unique natural phenomenon that makes Gobustan famous, as it hosts nearly half of the world’s mud volcanoes. After a full day of exploration, return to Baku for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3:Baku – Shamakhi – Lahij – Sheki

After breakfast, your journey continues as you depart Baku at 08:00 and head towards Sheki. Along the way, stop to visit the Diri Baba Mausoleum in Maraza, a stunning historical site. Your next destination is Shamakhi, where you will explore the beautifully restored Juma Mosque, a significant architectural gem. If the weather is favorable, we will travel through the picturesque Girdimanchay River Canyon to reach Lahij, a charming village that dates back to the 5th century. Famous for its traditional handicrafts, you will have the opportunity to visit workshops specializing in jewelry, copperware, wool carpets, pottery, and more. Continue your drive to Sheki, a delightful medieval town nestled in lush mountains, known for its exquisite local baklava. Arrive in Sheki around 19:00 for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 4:Sheki – Kish – Baku

Start your day with a visit to the colorful Sheki Bazaar, where you can sample local delicacies and purchase fresh fruits, spices, cheeses, and the famed Sheki sweets. Next, explore the magnificent Sheki Khans Palace, surrounded by ancient fortress walls that tell tales of the region’s storied past. Afterward, you will have the chance to visit local handicraft workshops where artisans showcase their skills in traditional crafts. Your journey continues to the village of Kish, where you will explore a historical church that dates back to the early Christian period, offering a glimpse into the religious heritage of Azerbaijan. Following this enriching experience, we will begin our return drive to Baku, where you will check in to your hotel upon arrival. Enjoy a restful evening as you reflect on the day’s discoveries.

Day 5:Departure from Baku

On your final day, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out by noon. Our driver will transfer you to Baku International Airport for your departure.
