Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Baku

Upon your arrival in Baku, our friendly driver will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for check-in, which begins at noon. Once settled, you’ll embark on a captivating sightseeing tour of Baku. Start your exploration at Martyrs’ Lane, known locally as ‘Shehidler Khiyabany,’ where you can enjoy stunning views overlooking the coastline of Baku. As you continue your tour, admire the eclectic architecture of the 19th and 20th centuries, including the bustling Nizami Street, Fountain Square, and the monument dedicated to Nizami Ganjavi.

Next, you will delve into the historical heart of the city, Icheri Sheher, where you’ll visit the iconic Maiden Tower, the majestic Shirvanshahs’ Palace, and the Caravanserai. Explore the vibrant market square filled with art studios and souvenir stalls, perfect for finding unique keepsakes. Conclude your day at the architectural marvel of the Heydar Aliyev Center, a symbol of modern Azerbaijan. Return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

 

Day 2Baku – Absheron Peninsula – Gobustan – Baku

Today, your adventure takes you to the Greater Baku area and the Absheron Peninsula. Begin with a visit to Gobustan National Park, where you’ll explore the Petroglyphs Museum, showcasing ancient rock carvings that date back to 10,000 BC. Next, witness the fascinating mud volcanoes, a natural wonder that makes Gobustan famous, as it hosts nearly half of the world’s mud volcanoes.

Your journey continues to Ateshgah, the Fire Temple located in Surakhany village, where Zoroastrians made pilgrimages from far and wide to honor the eternal flames. Afterward, visit Yanardag Mountain, known for its continuously burning natural gas flames, a sight that embodies the essence of Azerbaijan’s nickname. Return to Baku for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3:Baku – Khinalug – Quba – Baku

This morning, depart for the picturesque Quba region in northern Azerbaijan. Travel to Khinalug, one of the country’s oldest settlements, located at an altitude of 2,000 meters. The scenic mountain road offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Khinalug has been continuously inhabited for over 5,000 years, making it a fascinating destination steeped in history.

On your return journey to Baku, stop in Quba to visit the Sakina Khanum Mosque, the medieval bathhouse (hammam), and an authentic carpet workshop, where you can learn about the traditional craft of carpet weaving. After a day full of exploration, return to your hotel for another overnight stay.

Day 4:Baku – Shamakha – Lahic – Baku

After breakfast, depart from your hotel to visit Lahic, a village renowned for its rich history and architectural significance. En route, stop at the Diri Baba Mausoleum in Maraza, a site with deep historical roots. Continue your journey to Shamakha, where you’ll explore the historical Juma Mosque, the Yeddi Gumbez Mausoleum, and the family burial site of the Shirvan Shahs.

As you drive through the scenic Girdimanchay River Canyon, you will reach Lahic, a charming village known for its cobblestone streets and ancient water supply systems. Here, you can discover local crafts such as traditional jewelry, copperware, carpets, pottery, daggers, and iron tools, all crafted by skilled artisans. This village, rich in history, dates back to the 5th century and offers a unique glimpse into Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage. After a day of exploration and discovery, you will make your way back to Baku for a restful overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 5:Departure from Baku

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely morning before checking out of your hotel by noon. You will have some free time to explore Baku at your own pace, perhaps revisiting your favorite spots or shopping for last-minute souvenirs. When the time comes, our driver will transfer you to Baku International Airport for your departure. As you leave, take with you the unforgettable memories of Azerbaijan—the Land of Fire—where ancient traditions meet modern marvels, and the warmth of its people will forever remain in your heart.
