Next, you’ll travel to the Fergana Valley, a region renowned for its traditional crafts and rich history. In Kokand, discover the grandeur of the Khudoyar-Khan Palace and immerse yourself in local artistry with visits to workshops producing exquisite ceramics and textiles. Rishtan will introduce you to the intricate art of pottery at the renowned workshop of Rustam Usmanov.

The tour then takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. Samarkand’s Registan Square, with its stunning madrasahs, and the majestic Bibi-Khanum Mosque will leave you in awe. The city’s rich heritage continues with visits to the Afrasiab Museum and a traditional paper-making workshop in Konigil village.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Tashkent

Upon arriving in Tashkent, you will be welcomed by an Shahina Travel driver and taken to your hotel for check-in, available from 14:00. Your Uzbekistan classic tour kicks off with a meet-and-greet your guide, setting the stage for your exploration of Central Asia’s largest city. Start with a visit to the Old City area to see the Khast-Imam Complex, home to the renowned Quran of Caliph Uthman. Wander through Chorsu Bazaar and then hop on the Tashkent Metro to reach the city center, where you’ll explore Amir Timur Square, Independence Square, and the Applied Arts Museum. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2Tashkent – Kokand – Rishtan – Fergana

Transfer to Tashkent train station for an early morning departure to Kokand. Upon arrival, start your exploration with the Khudoyar-Khan Palace, Jami Mosque, and Norbut-biy Madrasah. Continue to Rishtan to visit the renowned ceramic master Rustam Usmanov. In the afternoon, drive to Fergana, check into your hotel, and enjoy a restful evening.
Alternative transport by car available, taking approximately 4 hours through Kamchik Mountain Pass.

Day 3Fergana – Margilan – Tashkent

Explore the Fergana Valley’s highlights, including a visit to Margilan to see traditional silk weaving. Return to Tashkent in the afternoon for an overnight stay. Enjoy some free time in the evening to explore the city at your leisure.

Day 4Tashkent – Samarkand

Catch the high-speed Afrosiyob train to Samarkand. Your guide will meet you upon arrival to start your tour of this historic city. Visit Registan Square, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar, Ulugbek Observatory, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, and Gur-Emir Mausoleum. Overnight in Samarkand.
Duration: 6-7 hours

Day 5Samarkand

Continue exploring Samarkand with visits to the Afrasiab Museum and the Tomb of Saint Daniel. Drive to Konigil village to see traditional Samarkand paper-making. Enjoy some free time in the city in the afternoon. Overnight in Samarkand.
Duration: 3-4 hours

Day 6Samarkand – Bukhara

Depart Samarkand and drive to Bukhara, stopping at the Rabat-i-Malik Caravanserai en route. Arrive in Bukhara, check into your hotel, and spend the afternoon exploring the Old City. Visit key sites including Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque, and the Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble. Overnight in Bukhara.
Duration: 3-4 hours

Day 7Bukhara

Discover more of Bukhara’s historic sites, including Ark Fortress, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, and the mausoleums of the Samani dynasty and Chashma-Ayub. Visit Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir. Continue to the Mausoleum of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi and enjoy free time in the afternoon. Overnight in Bukhara.
Duration: 5-6 hours

Day 8Bukhara – Khiva

Travel from Bukhara to Khiva, crossing the Kyzylkum Desert. Arrive in Khiva in the late afternoon, check into your hotel, and enjoy a free evening.
Note: The drive may be longer depending on road conditions and requires a packed lunch due to limited dining options.

Day 9Khiva – Urgench – Tashkent

Explore Khiva’s Itchan-Kala Fortress, including the Mukhammad Aminkhan Madrasah, Kalta-Minor, and Juma Mosque. Enjoy free time in the afternoon before transferring to Urgench for your flight back to Tashkent. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Duration: 5 hours

Day 10Tashkent – Departure

Check out from your hotel by noon. Enjoy free time until your transfer to Tashkent International Airport for departure. This concludes your exploration of Uzbekistan.
